Can you use baby oil, vegetable oil, olive oil etc. to lubricate Swiss Army Knives?

You can use anything you want! In our past when armies had to fight with spears and swords they would use animal fat to keep the blades free of rust.

Today there are lots of lubricants you can use. However, you can still use any oil you want,"food" type oil may get a little rancid after a while though!

Swiss Army knives are stainless steel, mine is! I can't remember going out of my way to lubricate it ever! Perhaps it picks up some oil from slicing baloney or spreading peanut butter when on the road.
